DIY VALENTINE INSPIRATION

I took a spin through Pinterest to get some V-day inspiration and wanted to share with you the best clever ideas that I found.

I've always preferred to hand-make a Valentine or two for my closest loves, even if it's just something simple.  It's a tradition passed down from my mom, who always made sure we had plenty of construction paper, sequin hearts, and lace doilies on hand to concoct to our hearts' content.

This year my days are sooo FULL that I'm on the lookout for super quick and easy projects that don't cost a lot or require much in the way of uncommon materials.

: diy valentine inspiration :

I thought these "Valentine Cards for Realists" were pretty funny ...
I love the "computer" and "phone" ones ... SO sad but true!!

I liked this "love bomb" card too ...

Because French macarons are just the prettiest aren't they? ...

Can never go wrong with a garland ... felt, book print,
construction paper, or tissue paper would ALL be lovely.

Because I've always been partial to red hots and hot tamales ...

Sweet idea if you have a little one ...

Simple and creative!  Love the painterly, watercolor effect ...

Adorable ...

 Clever right!?!

Easy and pretty too ...

Great for kiddos taking valentines to class!
And the kids would love this craft for sure ...

Another good one for the classroom ...

What are your plans this Valentines Day?  I know some people dismiss it as a made-up holiday taken over by commercialism, but I honestly like having one day entirely devoted to L-O-V-E and romance!

I made a garland like that from old book pages a few years ago. I'll send a photo once I've actually pulled out the Valentine's decorations!
