CHINOISERIE LIVING ROOM SNEAK PEEK AND KRAVET PELAGOS FABRIC FOR SALE

I'm getting close to the final install of a client's beautiful Chinoiserie living room (the one I first told you about here.)  It's been one of those long, drawn-out projects (lots of painting, carpentry, electrical re-wiring, and unglamorous stuff that just takes time) and we're feeling very ready to see the final result!

We built the entire room around this fantastic embroidered peacock statement fabric that we had made into floor-to-ceiling drapes.

The rest of the fabric story developed like this ...

I don't want to spoil the final reveal, but here's a quick shot of what the room looked like to begin with ... a large sunken living room with high ceilings, gorgeous architectural details, and a ton of potential, but very old-fashioned and choking on furniture and knick knacks.

Here's a little "in progress" peek of where we're headed ... fresh white paint all over, a bright coral velvet chaise, those special peacock drapes, and a built-in desk spanning the entire front wall.

We found an exquisite antique hand-painted Asian armoire a bit like this, but even prettier ...

A bright coral chippendale desk chair like this ...

A big, lavish venetian mirror for above the fireplace, flanked by gold sconces ...

We plan on re-upholstering some classic vintage chairs in a fresh new fabric ...

I initially thought I would use this beautiful linen geometric fabric by Kravet (Archipelagos in Lime)

But once I saw it all in place I realized it wasn't quite the right choice.  That happens you know!  Sometimes ya gotta correct course :)

Which means I have 5 yards of Pelagos to sell off.  It retails for $55/yard and I'd love to sell the uncut 5-yard piece for $200 total (which is $40/yard.)  Email me if interested!

Here's some more Archipelagos inspiration ...

I'm looking forward to revealing the finished space with you once it's wrapped up and photographed.
